Paul Edward was born to Pete Edward Ritchie and Goldie Gibson. He has one older half sister Charlotte Blair and one younger half sister Emogene or Emajean. I don't believe Goldie and Pete were ever married, have not been able to locate a marriage certificate.

Paul served in the US Navy during World War II.

Paul married two times, two children by first marriage, no children by second marriage. Later Paul and Wanda Black lived together until his death.
