Peter Adam Dreisewerd was a farmer who operated a completely functioning farm with milk cows, horses, pigs and raised wheat and corn and almost the family's entire foodstuff. The family owned and operated a private club, the Lincoln Hunting Club, for St. Louis businessmen who hunted ducks on the lake and fished in the summer.

He was the son of Peter Dreisewerd and Maria Anna (Annie) Naber.

He married first Anna Catharina (Annie) Heitmann and they had one child, Cecelia Francisca Anna Dreisewerd. Annie died 10 days after Cecelia's birth.

Peter married second Frances Sabina Diederich and they had
10 children - Edmund, Thomas, Katie, Henry, Lucille, Paul, Clem, Girlie, Albert, and Urbie.
