An obituary published in the Shelbyville Democrat on April 19, 1917 for Mrs. W. H. Miller stated that she had died at her home on North Morgan Street, Thursday [April 12, 1917]. Mrs. Miller's maiden name was Miss Sarah A. Glick. She was born near Marcy, Ohio, November 19, 1843. On November 6, 1862, she was united in marriage to William H. Miller. To this union three children were born. One son died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. G. H. Souder, died in January 1916. The surviving members of the family are the aged husband, one daughter, Mrs. M. S. Andes of Shelbyville and one brother, I. S. Glick of Lakewood. She had united with the Reformed Church in childhood and later transferred her membership to the Methodist Church of which for more than fifty years she was a faithful member. Mr. and Mrs. Miller came to Shelbyville in 1863. The funeral was held from the family home at No. 2808 North Morgan Street, conducted by Rev. N. M. Rigg of Decatur. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery.
