"Isaac N. Fisher, age 84, died due to complications of injuries he received a week earlier when struck by a truck while crossing a street in Fremont.
He was born in Sandusky County Nov. 9, 1842, one of the eight children of Henry and (Elicea) Fisher. With the exception of 15 years when he was in Illinois, he spent his entire life in Sandusky County. He served with the Union Army for 3 years during the Civil War, having enlisted with Co. G, 83rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry on Aug. 22, 1862.
Isaac married Miss Jennie Mae Swartz on Feb. 3, 1876. They had nine children, eight of whom survive: son, Harry F. Fisher, Lemmon S.D.; daughter Nora (Mrs. L. G. Bowlus), Pemberville, Ohio; daughter Bertha (Mrs. C. B. Carr), Fremont, Ohio; daughter Sarah (Mrs. Ed La Coarse), Toledo, Ohio; daughter Mary K. (Mrs. G. E. Renton) and daughter Hazel (Mrs. A. L. Lawson), Royal Oak, Mich.; daughter Millie D. (Mrs. H. H. Harrell), Miami, Fla.; and son Lloyd B. Fisher of Wyandotte, Mich. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. A son, Herman, preceeded his father in death.
Private funeral services were held at the family home, with private burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Schwartz-Eagon Mortuary."
