Treva graduated from Normantown High School and went on to become a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker for her family. She was a devout Christian and long standing member of Sutton Baptist Church where she became the first female usher. Her passions included gardening, cooking, quilting and surrounding herself with grandchildren during holidays and frequent visits to her home. To this day, annual family reunions are held at her childhood home in Crooked Fork, WV. Remembered for her calm and reassuring demeanor, as well as her infectious sense of humor, Treva will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband John Lee Berry whom she married January 7, 1951, as well as one daughter Mary Ann Wilmoth and husband Mark of Clarksburg, three sons, Stephen Berry and wife Karen of Fairmont, Robert Berry and wife Debra of Randolph, ME, and John D Berry of Sutton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Shawn Berry, Kevan Nipper and husband Jason, Rebecca Berry and husband Dean Spencer, Erica Berry, Melissa Maybush, Jesse Berry and wife Danielle, and Cassandra Robbins and husband Byron. Treva was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren.
Treva was the eldest of twelve siblings. Surviving are three brothers, Kenneth White of Cedarville, Dana White and wife Caren of Normantown, Austin White and wife Gerry of Gassaway, seven sisters, Fay Marks and husband Wilbur of Little Hocking, OH, June Shaffer and husband Charles of Stow, OH, Kay Henline and husband Doug of Normantown, Nina Stump of Flint, MI, Marjorie Born of Perkins, Connie Gainer and husband Gary of Weston, and Joyce Fisher and husband Larry of Perkins.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sutton Baptist Church, Sutton with Rev. Dr. Allen Copenhaver officiating. Family will receive friends Monday, July 10, from 6-8 pm at the church and one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at the Sutton Cemetery, Sutton.
