Lavonne E. Bryson, 70, of Edna, died Thursday afternoon (Aug. 25, 1988) in Coffeyville Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Bryson was born Dec. 12, 1917, in Edna to Ernest B. and Edna B. (Johnson) Preston. She grew up in that area and graduated from the Edna school system.

On Nov. 26, 1936, she married Clayton C. Bryson in Edna. Following their marriage the couple farmed and raised livestock in that area. In 1953, they moved into the Edna community and retired in 1985.

Mrs. Bryson was a member of the Elm Christian Church, Royal Neighbors and Edna Civic Organizations (ECO).

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Wyvern Beach and Kathy Triebel, both of Bartlesville; her mother, Edna Preston of Edna; a sister, Lucille Farris of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Elm Christian Church, two miles east of Edna, with burial in North Edna Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the Elm Christian Church.

Friends may call at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Colonial Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
