She died in childbirth with their son Lawrence Deloss Jr. LaFOLLETTE on 29d 9m 1927. When Jessie was buried at Bethel Cem, Lindley Twsp, Mercer Co, Missouri a marker was put up for both her and Lawrence: Lawrence Deloss Lafollette although Lawrence himself was never buried there. Lawrence at age 24 was a young widower and moved to Mills Co, Iowa. There he met Amy Wilhelmina HORN and they were married (his 2nd marriage) 8d 2m 1932 at Rock Port, Clay Twsp, Atchison Co, Missouri. They settled in Red Oak, Red Oak Twsp, Montgomery Co, Iowa and were the parents of three children. Lawrence survived Amy and moved to Bella Vista, Benton Co, Arkansas where he died 5d 10m 1987. He was then brought back to Red Oak and buried beside his second wife Amy.
