1850 US Census, John H. Alexander (22) and Nancy Alexander (20) of Rutherford, Tennessee might possibly be Martha's parents.

1930 US Census, Martha Abanatha was living with her son, Joe Abanatha, and his family in Waco, Texas. She is listed as a widow at 84 years of age, born in Tennessee.

Mrs. Martha E Abanatha was also listed in Waco City Directory in 1930 living at 909 Webster Avenue.

According to her son, Joe's Texas DC, her husband was a Frank Abanatha

Confusing as sometimes she is found as Abanatha and other times Abernathy.
