Frank was in the U. S. Army, stationed in Nogalis, AZ (on the Mexican border) during WWI. The army was kept there because there was border problem with Mexicans. He also boxed and was a Division Champion. Headquarters Company, 35th Inf., 3rd Class Musician.

He was a Window Washer. He came to Cleveland because the rest of his brothers were here. His son Jim says his middle name is Edwin although it appears as Lawrence on most paperwork.
