Olive Doris Adams, born August 8, 1928, went to be with the Lord November 21, 2011. Ollie was born in Henderson, KY, and lived in Battle Creek from 1945 until 2003, when she moved to Texas.

She was a long-time faithful member of Battle Creek Friends Church, serving in many capacities over the years, including teaching Sunday School, Director of Christian Education, The Church Building Committee, the Church Advisory Council.

She was preceded in death in 1998 by her husband, Donald Adams, lifelong Battle Creek resident; step-daughter, Linda Roush; her brother, William Crowder; and her sisters, Mildred Raber, and Katherine Sharp. She is survived by a daughter, Lana Kendall of Flower Mound, TX; and step-daughters, Jean Ticer of Arlington, TX, JoAnn Donihue of Parma, MI, and Sue Kidder Port Richey, FL; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from the LPN program in 1964 and worked for many years at Battle Creek Community Hospital. She was loved by all who knew her, we will miss her sweet smile and sense of humor.

She was buried at Floral Lawn Cemetery in Battle Creek, next to her husband, Don. A memorial service will be held at 1pm Friday, December 9th, at Battle Creek Friends Church, 1305 Olive St, Battle Creek, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial donation in her name to Battle Creek Friends Church.
