Imogene Deaton
Imogene Deaton, 74, of Greenfield died July 18, 2004 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born March 28, 1930 in Hazard, Ky., she was the daughter of Roosevelt and Barbara (Benton) York.
She was a homemaker and had worked for Ford Motor Co. for 10 years. She was a graduate of Hazard (Ky.) High School and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband Charles Deaton, whom she married in October 1945; sons Robbie Deaton of Carmel, Larry Deaton of Fairland, Gary Deaton of Greenfield and Kenneth Deaton of Charlottesville; brothers Aaron York of Indianapolis and Jerry York of Pleasantview; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Erlewein Mortuary, Greenfield Chapel with Pastor Mark Clark officiating.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dale Cemetery in Connersville.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
