Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday at Simpson's funeral chapel for Pfc James Delbert Stuart, 27, 1122 Lee Street, who met death March 15, 1945 at Kalenborn, Germany. He was attached to a First army unit.
Rites will be conducted by Dr. Joseph Clare Hoffman and a graveside service will be furnished by John Brawley post No. 20, American Legion. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
A son of the late George A. and Adassah Fellows Stuart, Pfc Stuart came to Charleston in 1918 from Middleport, Ohio. He was a graduate of Charleston high school and was employed at the Belle du Pont plant when he enlisted.
Surviving are three brothers, Charles F., Belle; William G., Portland, Maine, and George A. Jr. of Charleston; a half sister, Mrs. Charles Pelzed of Charleston; his stepmother, Mrs. G. A. Stuart of Middleport, Ohio, and an aunt, Mrs. G. E. Fox of Charleston with whom he made his home.
