*** Carter & his brother Willy, neither were ever married. Carter was D.O.A. in route to a local hospital, after a single car accident at the age of 20 yrs., 7 mo. & 13 days. He was the driver, with 3 other male passengers (ages 19 & 42), including his older brother, Willie, age: 26 yrs. & 11 mo. to the day of the accident. His, (Carter's) was the only fatality. It was non-alcohol related.

Speed was the factor. He swerved to keep from hitting a pedestrian. The car rolled over with all 4 passengers. The driver's side door flew open, throwing Carter into a fire hydrant on the corner of the street, crushing his skull with the car on top of him. There was a banjo left in the car. He was one of 10 children, (including an adopted Niece by their parents, Jesse & Laura). He was the youngest of 3 sons & the second in his family to perish. He was born & died, both on a Thursday. (From the date of his death, to Thur., April 4, 1946, he was deceased the same amount of time, that he spent on earth.) He was preceded in death by his sister in the year 1913, Miss Lila Pennington, age: 22 yrs., 9 mo. & 26 days. Memorial #181862748.

@};- Carter is remembered, and loved. Thank U all for your kind tokens & notes that U leave my Great Uncle Carter & all my loved ones. I do appreciate it very much. :-) GOD Bless. ~ Mom of Timothy L. Turner.
