Kirk Cornell Acklin, 47, Salina, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007. Mr. Acklin was born June 3, 1960, in Akron, Ohio.
He was a forklift operator.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elvie.
Survivors include his mother, Lottie (Berry) Acklin; his fiancee, Emma Rowe, of Salina; two sons, Donte Ferrell and wife Josheena of Rome, Ga., and Kevin Moore of Akron, Ohio; two daughters, Karissa Ferrell and Kandice Moore, both of Akron, Ohio; a brother, Demel of Salina; two sisters, Veronica Bishop and husband Samuel of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Denise Grant and husband James of Akron, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the Summerville Funeral Home, 1695 Diagonal Roadd., Akron, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the the time of the service at Summerville Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio. Roselawn Mortuary, 1307 S. Santa Fe, Salina KS 67401, is handling local arrangements
