Jacob b. Apr. 7, 1820, came from Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany with his family to
America, where they lived two years in Frederickstown, Penna.
The family moved to Shelby Co., Ind. In 1842 Jacob m. Margaret Baker, native
of Bavaria Germany. Eleven children born. Eight listed are: Margaret, Mary,
Henry, Catherine, Jacob, John, Peter, Elizabeth. Marriages listed.
Moved to Madison Twp., Tipton Co., Ind. before 1868. Bought 100 acres of land.
Died in 1880, age 60, and was buried on his land along Little Duck Creek.
