Blakeley Randall Marcus of Berryville, Virginia, died Saturday, December 3, 2011 in the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester.
Mr. Marcus was born June 8, 1935 in Loudoun County, Virginia, the son James Janney and Cassandra Viola Manuel Marcus.
He retired from the State Department.
Surviving with his wife, Sandra Blythe Marcus, are a daughter, Blythe Marcus Tucker of Winchester, VA, a granddaughter, Laurel Blythe Tucker, of Winchester, VA; and a sister, Esther Mae Redmon of Sterling, VA.
Three half-brothers, Theodore Marcus, Earl Marcus, and Bill Marcus preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville with The Rev. James H. Utt and Rev. Jonathan Bunker officiating.
Pallbearers will be Steve Shirley, Stephen Shendow, Billy Joe Tisinger, Darren Lambert, Scott MacDonald, and Tony Sanders.
The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 P. M. Tuesday evening at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville.
