Laura Milby Dickinson Colglazier passed away Friday, May 20, 2005. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, December 21, 1914, to Diana James Dickinson and John Thomas Dickinson.
She attended Main Avenue High School, graduated in 1933 in one of the first classes from Thomas Jefferson High School, and attended Incarnate Word College.

She married E. William Colglazier in 1941, and they lived happily together until his death in 1997.

She was a devoted member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church where her family had been members since the 1800's and where she was baptized and married.

Mrs. Colglazier was active in many organizations including the Battle of Flowers Association, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the Perennial Garden Club, the Military Civilian Club, the San Antonio Conservation Society, and the San Antonio Country Club.

She is survived by her sons, E. William Colglazier, Jr., and John A. Colglazier; her daughters-in-law, Catherine C. Colglazier and Peggy D. Colglazier; grandchildren, John A. Colglazier, Jr., Elizabeth C. Boddy; J. Geraldine Tunnell; and William C. Colglazier; great-grandchildren, Lily Boddy and Hattie Colglazier; sister-in-law, Lucille Colglazier; nieces, Diana Mathews and Russi Crain; Jacqueline Marucheau, wife of her late nephew, Albert Marucheau; great nieces, Candy Casseb and Barbara Mathews; great nephew, Richard Mathews; and her devoted and loving caregiver, Minerva Ramirez.

The family wishes to express its appreciation to the many wonderful staff who cared for her at Brighton Gardens for the past seven years.
