She departed this life June 30, 2002 after a brief illness. She was a devoted wife and mother and worked in private homes as a domestic worker. She will always be loved and remembered by her family, and great multitude of friends she has left behind 15 children, 11 sons, and 4 daughters, Mr. Edward Crawford , Mrs. Lagratta Crawford Williams, Mr. George and Garnetta Crawford , Mr. Ernest and Barbara Crawford , Mr. Earl H. and Geraldine Crawford , Mr. Howard and Olivia Crawford Wright, Mr. James F. Crawford , Ms. Janie A. Crawford Williams, Mr. David P. Crawford , Ms. Beverly E. Crawford , Mr. Jacob Crawford , Mr. Joseph and Pat Crawford , Mr. Darrell Crawford , Mr. Larry Crawford , Mr. Parker Crawford . She also leaves to mourn three brothers, Mr. Ernest and Ann Parker, Jr., Mr. James A. Parker, Mr. Franklin and Irene Parker, Mrs. Gertude Turner, and Elizabeth F. Miller, 33 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a blessed garden of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors. Mrs. Nellie Sarah Crawford was a member of the First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church since childhood and lived the example of being a Christian.
