James M. Roberts, Sr., 70, of Fish Pot Road, Clarington, Ohio, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at home.
He was born June 16, 1936 in Clarington, a son of the late Charles Sr. and Sidney Kirk Roberts.
He was a retired equipment operator at Conalco in Hannibal, Ohio, a member of the Masonic Lodge #597 F.&A.M. in Clarington, Moriah Lodge #105 F.& A.M.in Powhatan Point, Ohio, Osiris Shrine in Wheeling, WV, Order of Eastern Star #533 in Clarington, UMWA Local 5760, and Church of Christ by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lou, Charles and Frank Roberts; and three sisters, Dorothy Koher, Ruth Rose and Claribel Koher.
Survivors include two sons, James (Brenda) Roberts, Jr. of Woodsfield, Ohio and Terry Roberts of Powhatan; a daughter, Sherry (Phil) Johnson of Texas; seven grandchildren, Justin, Chelsie, Dalton, Philena, Jennifer, Caitlin and Dylan; and two great grandchildren, Neleah and Tyland.
Family received friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Grisell Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Drive, Clarington, Ohio where funeral services were held Thursday at 11:00am with Evangelist David Paher officiating. Masonic services were held Wednesday at 6:30pm.
