In Memory of….. my Brother-in-Law, Martin Soto Tapia, Sr., age 78 of Austin, passed on December 1, 2011.
You may be gone, no longer living on this earth; but you will live on - in the memories of your family and friends. There will always be a part of you living in those who knew you. You will live on because we remember you!
He was born on November 11, 1933, in Uhland, TX to Regino and Antonia Tapia.
Martin Sr. spent most of his life as a welder with Boyce Iron Works and then with Capital City Steel.
Martin lived his life to the fullest and was loved by his wife, Juanita Hernandez Tapia; son, Martin Jr. (Nancy) Tapia; daughters, Oralia (Paul) Arias and Olga H. Tapia; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and extended family from Texas to California and Alaska. He will dearly be missed by all survivors.
Martin is preceded in death by his parents, Father's Name: Rajina Tapia and Mother's Name: Antonia Soto. Three small brothers and sisters, Male Sierra and Juanita Martinez.
Rosary will be Sunday, December 4, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at Angel Funeral Home. A Christian Mass will be on Monday, December 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Church following interment at Assumption Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Martin Tapia III, John Tapia, John Ryan Tapia, Joe Tapia, Jr., Jesse Tapia, Ray Lupez. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Limon III, Adam Tapia, Rudy Martinez and Raul Arce.
Martin's journey here is done, but his life has just begun.
