Mrs. Helen Smoot Lee, a charter member of the Dunbar First Presbyterian Church and a lifelong resident of the Kanawha Valley, died yesterday at a South Charleston hospital following a short illness. She was 71.
Her husband, Robert E. Lee, and a daughter, Roberta, at home, survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Wilson Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. J.W. Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park at Dunbar.
The family asks that flowers be omitted.
