Born in Pickens County, he was the son of John Edward Black of Six Mile and Shelby Jean Trotter Elrod of Pickens.
In addition to his parents,Mr. Black is survived by his wife, Amanda Lail Black of the home; a son, Geoffery Edward Black, Jr., two daughters, Katelyn Alyssa and Laila Meredith Black, all of the home; a sister, Kelsey Katerina Black of Six Mile and a maternal grandmother, Doris Looper of Greenville.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with burial to follow in Abbott Cemetery in Liberty.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of his father, John Black at 350 Shadydale Circle, Six Mile, SC 29682.
