Jennie D. (Davis) Abbott, 90, Anderson, died Dec. 3, 2011, following an extended illness.

She was born on Dec. 14, 1920, in Noblesville, the daughter of Curtis F. and Lillie (Summers) Davis. She was employed for over 30 years at Guide Lamp. She and her husband, Donald F. Abbott, who preceded her in death in 2006, enjoyed fishing and traveling throughout the United States, and had wintered in Florida.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith (Charles) Short of Sebring, Fla., and Sandra (Charles) Bennett of Anderson; two stepdaughters, Brenda (Dale) Gray of Albuquerque, N.M., and Sharon (Gary) Campbell of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren, Gina Fike of Kokomo, Charles (Tammy) Bennett of Anderson, Arnette (Kent) Yundt of Bend, Ore., Dawn (Scott) Hanshew of Anderson, Troy Kimmerling of Anderson and Robert Kimmerling of Anderson; five step-grandchildren, Mark and Troy King, Andy and Eric Gray, and Leslie Johnson; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Curtis F. (Margaret) Davis of Elwood; a sister, Berna "Bunny" (Rex) Bennett of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Mary Cloud; a son, Phillip Kimmerling; and a grandson, Rick Smith.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
