CARROLLTON -- Robert "Jackie" Bickers, 71, retired owner and operator of Bicker's Jewelry & Watch Repair, brother of Homer Bickers, Lexington, died of a heart attack yesterday. Services 2 p.m. Wednesday, Carrollton United Methodist Church. Visitation 5-9 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Graham-Dunn Funeral Home.

Robert 'Jackie' Bickers, 71, of Carrollton, died Monday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Louisville. He owned and operated Bickers Jewelry and Watch Repair in Carrollton for more than 35 years and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 41, Carrollton, the Carrollton United Methodist Church, the Disabled American Veterans and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Survivors include brothers, Homer G. Bickers of Lexington, Doug Bickers of Cynthian a and Gilbert Bickers of Winchester; and a sister, Mary Jo Barrickman of Carrollton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton, and from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
