E. Agnes Sherman age 102 of Prairie City, IL passed away at 5:05 A.M. Thursday April 4, 2013 at Prairie City Rehab & Health Care Center in Prairie City, IL.

Agnes was born on February 3, 1911 in rural Fulton County, IL to John A. and Jessie Morris Hodson.

She married George E. Sherman on November 13, 1943 in Bloomfield, IA. and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2001.

Agnes is survived by 1 Daughter – Marilyn Jacobson of Macomb, IL a Step Daughter – Imogene Ashford of Blue Springs MO, 1 Granddaughter – Mary White of Bushnell, IL and 5 Step- Grandchildren – David Meyers, Virginia Watts, Linda Ashford, Debbie Burns and Sally Sallis, 3 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 Brothers, 2 Sisters, 1 Granddaughter and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter.

Agnes served as Postmaster in Prairie City, IL for 33 years and she was a lifetime member of Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday April 8, 2013 at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, IL. Pastor Trisha Chapman will be officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the time of services at the Funeral Home on Monday April 8, 2013.

Burial will be in the Prairie City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bushnell Fire & Rescue Squad.
