Ruby Elizabeth (Ellison) Settle, 91, of Inman, SC, went home to be with her lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, SC, on December 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Adger Monroe Ellison and Leila (Martin) Ellison, and was the wife of the late Ralph M. Settle.
Mrs. Settle retired from the Belk Hudson Company and was a member of the Inman First Baptist Church where she was the former W.M.U. Director and teacher of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
She is survived by three sisters, Ruth Elrod of Williamston, SC, Leona Tyner of Anderson, SC and Edna Keaton and her husband Bob of Anderson, SC.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Monroe, Carl and Earle Ellison.
The family received friends Friday, December 9, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Inman First Baptist Church. Funeral services immediately followed in the sanctuary with Dr. Paul Moore and Jeremiah Childers officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were David Settle, Jr., Harris Settle, Woody Settle, Dennis Settle, Jerry Raines and Joe Perrotte. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
