Jean was born in the early winter of 1935 in Davenport, Iowa. She was the youngest of three daughters (sisters, Joan Schaffer and Janet Varner).

Around 1950 Jean met a young man named William "Bill" Wolfe. They soon married and had 6 children. After 30 years of raising her children, she decided to take on a second career. She worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad until she retired.

In the 45 years of living in Yuma she touched many people's lives with her easy style and warmth.

She passed into the light to be with her mother Harriet, her son Vincent (June), and her daughter, Theresa Hoyos (Mike).

She left behind her sons Corey (Joy), Marty (Stephanie) and her daughters Lisa Marie Catron (friend Michael) and Jo Annette Catron along with her grandchildren, Natasha, Cody, Brandon, Britton, Collin, Vince, Alexandria, Curtis, Travis (Jill), Landon and her great-grandchildren Olivia, Ellie, Jackson, Thomas and Alyson Joy.

Although she is no longer with us, she will never leave our hearts.

We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to her great-granddaughter's Leukemia Fund. Alyson Joy Ramirez at Chase Bank, account number: 91 27 55 634.

Please join the family in a celebration of Jean's life on Sunday, December 11th, 2011 at her home, 4813 W 27th Place (Barkley Ranch) from 3 to 6 pm.
