Bellin, Wilbur "Butch"
Wilbur "Butch" Bellin, 82, Casco, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Rosiere, to the late Emil and Zoia (Meunier) Bellin. He married Ann Hoffman on Nov. 25, 1943, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg. Wilbur farmed with his wife and family in the Town of Casco until his retirement. He was a member of Luxemburg Knights of Columbus, Rosiere Catholic Order of Foresters and Holy Trinity Holy Name Society. Wilbur was very active in numerous church choirs, but especially devoted to Holy Trinity choir. He loved attending the Luxemburg meal site at the Village Inn on Wednesday for lunch and cards.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; son, David (Pam) Bellin, Kewaunee; daughters, Emily (Ron) Rueckert, Madison; Lorna (Ronald) Vincent, Casco; Mary Lou (Len) Schanilec, Green Bay; grandchildren, Dean (Maurine), Curt (Julie), Connie and Jenny Bellin, Michael, Joe (Tavia), Chris and Heather Vincent; and Katie Schanilec; one great-granddaughter; two great-step-granddaughters, April and Angel Andrews; one sister, Beulah Monfils, Casco; three sisters-in-law, Magdaline Bellin, Algoma; Debbie Bellin, California, Betty Hoffman, Sturgeon Bay; one brother-in-law, Jim; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Emery Bellin, Donald Bellin; one sister, Eunice (George) Wautlet; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Earl Hoffman, William Monfils, Evelyn (Anton) Daul.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco and Thursday at Holy Trinity Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wake Service 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco, with Fr. John Doerfler officiating. Entombment in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Wilbur's family wishes to thank Luxemburg Rescue, the doctors and staff of Luxemburg Clinic, St. Vincent 7th floor CCU, 9th floor nursing staff, Pastoral Care and the staff of Unity Hospice for their compassionate treatment to Wilbur and his family.
