P.O. Edward Allers, DSN 2601, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 08/19/1957. Upon graduation from the academy he was assigned to the Personnel Division, 5Th, and 1St Districts. During his career he was awarded 2 Letters of Commendation on 08/01/1964, and 12/01/1967. He retired on 05/30/1982 with 24.78 years of service.

Officer Allers was also a veteran of the United States Navy and attained the rank of 3Rd Class Petty Officer.

Mr. Allers was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Navy and was a 25 year veteran of the St. Louis Police Department.

Services: Funeral Tuesday, September 14, 10:30 a.m. from COLLIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. (St. Ann) to Holy Spirit Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln., Maryland Heights, Mass 11:00 a.m.

Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
