McKEAN - On Thursday, January 27, 1944, at 11:15 o'clock a.m., ALBERT KELSEY McKEAN, of Rigolets, La., beloved husband of Alphonsine Gouyon, father of Mrs. A. Allison, Mrs. E. Meyers, Mrs. F. Chagnard, Mrs. Sidney Voissement, Thelma and Grace McKean, Robert McKean and Albert McKean, also 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, aged 82 years; a native and resident of Rigolets, La.
Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the Poole Funeral Home in Slidell, La., on Friday afternoon, January 29, 1944, at 3 o'clock p.m.
Interment in Family cemetery on Highway 90, near Slidell.

Albert McKean, Guide, Dies Here

Albert McKean, oldest resident at Rigolets, and widely known fishing and hunting guide, died at Charity hospital Thursday in his 89th year. Mr. McKean had been ill for several months and had retired from active operation of his business three years ago.
In addition to his widow, Mrs. Alphonsine Louise Guion McKean. Mr. McKean is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Annie Allison, Mrs. Marie Meyers, Mrs. Verna Chagnard, Mrs. Sidney Voissement and Misses Grace and Thelma McKean, all of New Orleans and two sons, Albert McKean of New Orleans and Robert McKean of Rigolets.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. today from the Poole Funeral Home, Slidell with interment in the family cemetery near Slidell on U.S. Highway 90.
Mr. McKean was born at Slidell and moved to Rigolets when he was 8 years old. He had lived there ever since. For a number of years he was in charge of the government lighthouse at Rigolets and for a time worked for the Louisville and Nashville railroad when the line was first put through to the Gulf Coast. Mr. McKean maintained a fishing and hunting lodge at Rigolets and was widely known as a guide and for his knowledge of game in the area.
