Treva Marie (Lamb) Augustine, 77, of Fort Dodge, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, December 5th, 2011 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 9, 2011 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home at 10:00 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Church, officiated by Msgr. Kevin McCoy. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the funeral home with a rosary at 4:30 PM and a vigil at 7:00 PM.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Edgar Augustine; son, Jim Augustine (Margo) of Fort Dodge; daughters, Jill Augustine of Des Moines and Joan Augustine-Ascherl (Mike) of Fort Dodge; and grandchildren, Thomas James, Andrew, and Libby Augustine and Jocelyn and Madeline Ascherl. She is also survived by her cousin Phyllis Seeley of Decatur, Illinois. Treva was preceded in death by her parents.

Treva Marie (Lamb) Augustine was born on June 14, 1934, Decatur, Illinois to Frances (Wayne) Lamb and Glenn Lamb. She was a graduate of Saint Teresa High School and attended Millikin University in Decatur. After attending school Treva was a jingle singer and office secretary at WDZ radio station. She was also very active in community theatre. On June 30, 1956, Treva married Edgar K. Augustine at Saint Thomas Catholic Church located in Decatur. In 1966 Edgar and Treva moved to Fort Dodge. Treva was a devoted wife and mother. She volunteered her time to many charities and organizations. Throughout the years she was actively involved in Operation Christmas, RISE, the Fort Dodge Public Library, Corpus Christi Ladies Guild, Monican Mothers and Questers. Her faith and family were the most important things in her life. She spent her time as Vice-President of 3A Investment where she assisted her husband Ed in their business. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending grandchildren's music and sporting events, relaxing with her dog Duke, gardening, baking, reading, and most importantly providing her children and grandchildren with "golden nuggets" of wisdom. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
