A strong supporter of our armed forces, Al was a proud marine himself.
Albert was a passionate follower of his sons' and grandchildren's sporting events, as well as a loyal San Francisco Giants fan. As a trumpet player and drummer; Al enjoyed jazz and all music from the big band era. He was an enthusiast for all things western, ranging from horses to films and fine art.
Albert is survived by his wife Jean K. Brown; children Albert Michael Brown of Chandler, AZ, Monte David Brown and Daniel Anthony Brown both of Hughson; sisters Caroline Marson, Lorraine Odisho and Dolores Brown all of Turlock; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to American Cancer Society (for lung cancer research) 1604 Ford Ave. #8 Modesto, CA 95350.
Recitation of the Rosary will start at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8th at Allen Mortuary.
Mass will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.
Private burial will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
