EDNA ESTHER BAUER: 94, Valley City went to her heavenly home on Friday [10-9]. She was born 24 Oct 1914 in Grafton Twp OH to Carl & Elisa Law. Edna lived most of her life in Valley City. She worked at the former Better Dress Shop-Medina & she retired as a seamstress at the former Fisher Big Wheel-Brunswick, after many years of service. Edna was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ-Valley City. She helped many years in the concession stand of the former Abbeyville Ballpark. Edna loved working in her flower beds, doing crafts & especially sewing.
She is survived by her son-John C (sp-Jean); grandson-John T (sp-Bonnie); gr grandson-JohnJ (sp-Deb)-all of ValleyCity; 2 gr-gr grand children [named] & 3 gr-gr-gr grandchildren; a niece-Marsha (sp-Jim) Taddeo-Amherst & 2 gr nephews [named]. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-John W Bauer & a sister & brother-in-law Esther & Clarence Flew.
Funeral service will be Monday noon[10-12] at Bauer Funrl Home-Valley City; Rev Gene Kraus officiating. Burial in Zion Lutheran Cem-Valley City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ-ValleyCity or Heartland Hospice.
