Carlton Longworth Crocker, one of the valley's most prominent young men, died yesterday mornin in the City Hospital following a brief illness. A week ago yesterday, he was stricken with quinay which developed into acute Bright's disease. When his condition became critical he was rushed to the City Hospital where every made by physicians to give him relief failed. Mr. Crocker had hosts of friends to whom his death was a great shock. Mr. Crocker volunteered for service in the 109th Field Artillery when the United States entered the war in 1917 and served with credit both here and in France durin the entire campaign. On December 13, 191?, he married Miss Eva Honeywell, daughter of Mrs Emma Honeywell of Luzerne. He was a member of the Kingston Masonic Lodge, Black Diamond Post, American Legion, the Craftsman's Club, the Wilkes Barre Council U C T and a communicant of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife and a little daughter, Doris. Also his parents, Mr and Mrs D. H. Crocker, one sister Hortense H and two brothers, Wayne W and Frederick W. The funeral will be held from his late home, 200 Academy St, Luzerne, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Hollenback Cemetery. -- Wilkes Barre Times, Nov 13, 1922.
