Funeral services will be Saturday, December 10th at 2:00 p.m., at Dogwood Hills Baptist Church in Woodville, with burial in Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bud was born at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainville, New Jersey on September 11, 1943, to Houston E., Sr. & Margaret Regina Wentzel Jones.
He was raised in Jefferson County, but had been a 40 year resident of Tyler County. He was owner/ operator/broker of H.E. Bud Jones Real Estate, was a member of Magnolia Lodge #495, Tyler County Board of Realtors, V.F.W., and Dogwood Hills Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962 to 1966. He was born in the USA, proud of the USA, fought for the USA, and died in the USA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston E., Sr. & Margaret Jones and his nephew, Eliot Hitchcock.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie Sue Scroggins Jones of Woodville; sons, Timothy Wayne Jones of Lawrenceville, GA and Jefferson M. Moore, III & wife, Emily of Nashville, TN; daughters, Susan Barrow of Dawsonville, GA and Janice Marie Barron of The Woodland; sister, Tricia Hitchcock & husband, John of Houston; grandchildren, Terry Barrow, Alexa M. Barron, Allison Barron, and Rylee Moore; and niece, Laurie Staley & husband, Mike of Pearland; and nephews, David Hitchcock & wife, Brandi of Austin and Glenn Hitchcock & wife, Amy of Kingwood.
