James Quisenberry, 85, of Roanoke, died Thursday, December 31, 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Pearl Quisenberry, and his wife, Eunice G. Quisenberry. Mr. Quisenberry was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, and a graduate of Washington and Lee University's School of Law. He was a member of the Virginia State Bar, and was retired as an attorney for the Veteran Administration's Regional Office in Roanoke. He was a member of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church. Surviving are his children and spouses, Kay Q. and Daniel L. Moore, E. Ray and Susan Williams, Andy and Maronda Williams; six grandchildren, Dr. Trenor Williams, Adam Williams, Zachary Moore, Benjamin Moore, Stephen Williams, and Effie Williams; one great-grandchild, Emma Williams; one sister, Lillian Ferrell. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, January 4, 1999, at Oakey's South Chapel. The Rev. Roy P. White will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roanoke Wildlife Rescue, 5931 Cotton Hill Road, Roanoke, Va. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
