Mrs. Simerly, 82, of Route 1, Irmo, SC, was killed yesterday when an ambulance carrying her to a hospital collided with a dump truck.
She was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late William Addison and Juriah Minerva Hutto Goodwin. She had lived in Lexington County most of her life and was a member of Rosewood Mission Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Eva McLemore of Flint, Mich., Mrs. Katie Thornton of West Columbia, and Mrs. Sybil Turnipseed of Columbia; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
