Obituary:

Gladys A. Richardson age 96, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011. Born in Goleta, Calif., she had lived in Panama and Castle Hayne, N.C. moving to Canton, Ohio in 1996. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe H. Richardson; son and daughter-in-law, John and Jessie Richardson; five sisters; and six brothers.


Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bette Richardson of Arlington, Va. and Paul and Betty Richardson of Canton, Ohio; four grandchildren and spouses, Lorenne (Gary) Schlaffer, Arlis (Michael) Dellapa, Daniel (Britt) Richardson, and Steven Richardson; and six great- grandchildren.


Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Luke Lutheran Home with Pastor Robert Linsz officiating.


Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington, N.C.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Senior Independence of Akron or St. Luke Lutheran Community in North Canton. The Lamiell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made to:
