Samuel Ralph Baker, 48, of Kistler, departed this life Monday, December 5, 2011, at his home.

Born August 17, 1963, in Logan County, he was a son of Imajean Clay Baker of Logan and the late Ralph O. Baker. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Tilden Clay and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Baker, and several aunts and uncles.

Samuel was a retired restaurant worker. he enjoyed watching wrestling, walking and spending time with his family.

Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include four siblings, Millie (Danny) Dean of Crown, Jimmy (Judy) Baker of Lorain, Ohio, Roberta Kennedy of Morristown, Tenn., and David O. (Donetta) Baker of Davin; several aunts and uncles; a very special friend and aunt, Yvonne Clay of Crown; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; a special friend, Rev. Linzel Walls of Kistler, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 9, at the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church at Amherstdale with Rev. Freddie Clay officiating. At his request the remains have been cremated.
