Roy E. Miller, 93, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 in Wichita Falls, TX. Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Tenth and Broad Church of Christ with Larry Suttle, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Roy was born August 22, 1918 in Stillwater. OK. to George W. and Ollie E. Miller. He married Irene Bostwick on December 6, 1947 in Guthrie, OK. Roy worked for many years making TV cabinets for Motorola in Oklahoma City. He then worked for DoMore Office Furniture in Wichita Falls for 32 years. After retiring, he became the groundskeeper for Tenth and Broad Church of Christ, where he was also a member of the Auditorium Class. Roy also enjoyed bowling and was an avid gardener.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 14 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Irene Miller of Wichita Falls, 3 children, Martha Grant and her husband Mark of Wichita Falls, Joe Miller of Wichita Falls, and Debra Jansen and her husband Jim of Bellevue, NE, 1 sister, Hazel Gatlin of Sapulpa, OK, 4 grandchildren, Stephen Grant, Heather Grant, Jaime Jansen, and Danielle Jansen, and 4 great grandchildren, Austin Grant, Andrew Grant, McKenzie Grant, and Bailey Grant.
The family will be at the funeral home Monday evening 6:00-7:00 PM for visitation.
