Edith E. Aaron, 91, of Oil City Presbyterian Nursing Home, Oil City, and formerly of Crown and Tionesta, died early Friday afternoon, Dec. 9, 2011, at the home. Born Dec. 23, 1919, in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Monty J. and Jessie Kiester Hildum.

Mrs. Aaron was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Crown and St. Anthony Church in Tionesta. She married Clarence J. Aaron on Oct. 21, 1938, in Warren, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1978.

Mrs. Aaron is survived by a son, David G. Aaron and his wife Eleanor of Clarion; two daughters, Norma J. Dehner of Shippenville and Donna M. Hall and her husband Robert of Newmansville; 11 grandchildren, Greg, Melissa, Debbie, Sheri, Dave, Sandi, Ken, Tammy, Matthew, Larry and James; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Aaron was preceded in death by four brothers, Burdette, Charles, Ivan and Ernest Hildum; two sisters, Helen Baxter and Ines Woodin; and a son-in-law, Ken Dehner.

Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church in Crown with the Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
