James Allen "Jim" Mikes, 72, of Paden City, WV died Saturday, August 27, 2011 in Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg, WV.

Jim was born February 15, 1939 in Paden City, WV the son of the late John and Mona Flannagan Mikes.

He was a manager at Ormet, Hannibal, Ohio; loved his family, fishing and golfing and a member of the Paden City Church Of Christ, where he was a song leader for 40 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Roberts.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years Janice Rockwell Mikes; a son, James Brian (Valorie) Mikes of Owensboro, KY; three daughters, Tammy Flesher, Judy (Alex) Thorburn, and Cathy (Chuck) Boggs all of Paden City; brother, Kenny (Marilyn) Mikes of Parkersburg;

Sister, Barbara (Walter, III) Smittle of Ripley, WV; ten grandchildren, Keesha, Meggan, Ashley, Amber, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Zain, Myah, Madison and Jake; five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Nevaeh, Brendyn, Carter, and Hayden; several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, Paden City. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Paden City Church Of Christ with Brian Price officiating,
