Final rites for Staff Sergeant Joseph F. Dawson,Jr., who lost his life in an airplane crash in England on March 26,1945, will be held this Thrusday at 2P.M. fron the Taylor Funeral Chapel on Duke of Gloucester street.
Sergeant Dawson, son of Mr.and Mrs.Joseph F. Dawson.,Sr. of 1108 Tyler avenue in Easport, was 20 years old at the time of his death. He was a graduate of Annapolis High School, and was serving with the Eight Air Force. His remains had been interred in a military cemetery at Cambride,England, and were returned to this country for reburial recently.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel by Chaplain Charles E. Read, USA,(ret.), and interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
Palbearers, all members of the Annapolis Yacht club of which Sereant Dawson was a junior member, will be: former State Senator Louis N. Phipps, William W. Townshend,Jr., John F. Kramer, Lester R. Trott, Garnett Y. Clark, and J. Willis Martin,Jr.
Besides the parents, the airman is survived by a sister, Barbara Ann Dawson and one brother Willard Dawson.
