Theda Idabelle Warner Arnold, 90, died Dec. 11 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.

She was born to Clyde and Aletha Bentley Warner on Jan. 17, 1921, in Bushnell, Neb. She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1927.

She married John Arnold on June 26, 1937, in Greeley, Colo., and they were married 74 years.

They lived most of their lives in LaGrange, where they raised their three children. They moved to Cheyenne in 2003 to be closer to their daughters.

Mrs. Arnold was the postmaster of the LaGrange post office for 31 years, and while working at the post office also achieved an associate's degree in library science.

She was active in the LaGrange Community Church for more than 50 years, a member of the Cheyenne Berean Church since 2003, active in the Gideon's International Auxiliary and enjoyed many activities at Point Frontier, where she and her husband resided.

She is survived by her husband, John; her daughters, Willadeen Chamberlain and Peggy Nighswonger, both of Cheyenne; her sister, Betty Elaine Scheidt of Cheyenne; her brother, Lloyd Alvin Warner of Rapid City, S.D.; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Clyde and Aletha Bentley Warner; her brother, Clyde Odie Warner; and her son, Robert Dean Arnold.
