In the Greene County 1910 Federal Census shows Meadie E. Rutledge to be 10 years old.

Her father is Beverly "Bev" Marshall Rutledge .
Her mother, Magnolia E. Hampton, was the daughter of Rev. Noah Wesley Hampton and Lucinda Hatch Hampton.

Magnolia was first married to "J.E." James Ensey Williams in 1882 in Greene County, Arkansas. She and J.E. Williams had four children: son William N. Williams, son Johnie Williams, daughter Bell Williams, and son Emzy E. Williams.

After J.E.'s passing, Magnolia married Beverly Marshall Rutledge in 1894 in Greene County, Arkansas. She and Beverly had two daughters: Sulie Lucinda Rutledge and Meadie Rutledge.

On June 19, 1915 at the age of 16 she marred Claud O. Beaton age 18.

In July of 1929 Meadie E. (Rutledge) Beaton died after several days of illnesses at her home near Rector.

She was buried in Ramer's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. York of the Methodist Protestant Church to deliver the funeral sermon.
She is survived by her Husband Claud O. Beaton, and one small child, Wilma (Beaton) Foster.
