Mr. Florey, 38, died Dec. 12, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Millington, Tenn. on April 11, 1973.
He was reared in Brookhaven and was a graduate of Brookhaven High School. After graduation, Mr. Florey joined the U.S. Navy and served his country during Operation Desert Storm as an Airman with unit HM14. After serving in the Navy, he returned home and worked as an electrician. He enjoyed playing video games, fishing, music and spending time with his family, friends and his beloved dog, Caesar.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Edna White; and sister, Robin Service.
Survivors are his father, Russell Morgan Florey, of Long Beach, Calif.; brother, Jason Morgan Florey, of New Orleans; nephews, Andy and Zach Florey, of Brookhaven; and longtime girlfriend JoAnn Moore and her son, Zach, both of Brookhaven.
