Elizabeth is the daughter of George and Betsy (Smith) Cochran. George came from Ireland and first settled in Londonderry in Colchester County, Nova Scotia. The family later moved to Hants County and located at East Marsh which is near Sweets Corner. Elizabeth and Thomas had at least eight children.
