Violet B. Woodrow, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and cherished friend, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, December 9, 2011. She was born on June 16, 1932 to the late Frieda (Keidel) and Herbert Neumeyer. Violet was baptized into the Lutheran faith and became a lifelong member of St John Amelith Church. She married Sgt. Thomas C. Woodrow on April 8, 1956 and together they began an adventure that took them to France, Germany, and Italy. Violet is survived by her husband Tom; her children Shirley (David) Roberts, Michael (Katie) Woodrow and Wendy Woodrow; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Elaine (Bob) Conner and Darlene (Larry) Hair; several nieces & nephews and many dear friends.
Violet was predeceased by her parents and her brother Archie Neumeyer.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St John Lutheran Church-Amelith ,1664 Amelith Road, Bay City, Michigan. Pastor Stephen P. Starke will officiate. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
