Bob passed away peacefully on December 12, 2011 of Alzheimer's Disease.

He is the son of David W. and Beatrice C. Evans. He graduated from East High School and served as a medic in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Bob graduated from the U of U and married Marianne Sharp sixty-one years ago in the Salt Lake Temple. He started and ran Evans Supply for many years.

Bob was a faithful member of the LDS Church, where he served for years in the Scouting and Young Men's programs, and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver. He loved and served his church, his family, and whoever needed a hand. His passions were squash (Utah State Champ in his younger years), gardening, his cabin, and fly fishing on his beloved Weber River.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brother David C. Evans. He is survived by his wife Marianne, his five children, Julie (David) Seal, Paul (Gail), Mark (Clair), Carol Evans, and Jim Evans, as well as twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers Edmond (Gloria), Wayne (Vella), and Carl Evans.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011 in the Garden Park Ward Building, where he spent countless hours of service beautifying and maintaining the grounds. There will be two viewings held, one on Thursday evening, December 15, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and one from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral, both in the Garden Park Ward Building, 1150 East Yale Avenue, Saltr Lake City.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
