Edna Margaret Craig-Palmer, 85, of rural Cole Camp, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at her home. She was born on August 31, 1925, on the family farm in southeast Pettis County, Missouri, a daughter of F. A. and Margaret (Lappat) Staus.

She attended Bahner and Springfork schools. While growing up, she helped on the farm and in her late teens, she was a waitress at the Bothwell Hotel in Sedalia. She had also worked at Lamy's, McGraw Eddison, and Hayes Wheels in Sedalia. In May of 1948, she was united in marriage to Homer David Craig, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1994. She was later united in marriage to Harold Dean Palmer, who also preceded her in death.

Edna was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cole Camp. She enjoyed dancing and Sunday dinners with her family.

She is survived by: two daughters, Mary Wissman and husband Mike of Cole Camp and Anna Young and her husband Greg of Sedalia; nine sons, Larry Craig and wife Liz of Sedalia, Mike Craig and wife Jerri of Belton, Bob Craig of Warrensburg, Wayne Craig of Smithton, Steve Craig and wife Winnie, Tom Craig and wife Maleia, Tim Craig and wife Shelley, John Craig and wife Barbara, and Chris Craig and his wife Mary, all of Cole Camp; one sister, Margie Weller of Sedalia; three brothers, Milburn Staus and wife Mary Helen of Smithton, Dan Staus and wife Dorothy of Sedalia, Merley Staus and wife Judy of Sedalia; thirty-three grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Angela Craig.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cole Camp, with Father Keith Branson officiating. Burial will be in Cole Camp Cemetery, rural Cole Camp.

The rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Cole Camp, with visitation to follow at 6:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Cole Camp Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be her family.
